| How do I create a name server using my domain name? |

| How do I change the IP address of my registered name server? |
If the IP address has changed for your own name server, you will need to make that change with Nameway® so that we may register the new IP with the Registry. Log In to your account. You can come back to this same page to check the status of your IP changes at any time. It can take the Registry up to 48 hours for your updates to take affect. We do not have a way to make this happen any quicker VeriSign updates the zone files at 5:00am and 5:00pm EST daily. NOTE: If your web host has informed you that they have changed the IP address of their name servers, then there is nothing you need to do . The web host will be responsible for making this change with their own Registrar. |

If you want to use Nameway® name servers, you can change that once the domain is in your account. Then you will have full use of our DNS control panel. To change name servers: Click on "domain names", "my domains". It can take up to 48 hours for the DNS to propagate with the registry, but your site will not go down while waiting for this update. |

| Can I create .ca name servers? |
If you want to create .ca name servers, the root name must resolve using those name servers. Example - you register the domain testdomain.ca If you wish ns1.testdomain.ca and ns2.testdomain.ca to be created, then testdomain.ca must use those name servers. If you wish to create .ca name servers, Nameway® must perform this task for you. Please use the Support Center, REQUEST HELP. Include your login
name, the domain, DNS names and the associated IP's. We'll submit
to the registry and advise you when complete. |

| I entered my name servers in the order I want them, but you've reversed the DNS order at the registry. |
Name servers can be listed in any order with the Registrar. However, each Registry does not require any particular order, and they list the name servers in the order that they are set up to list name servers. Typically they are listed alphabetically, but not in all cases, (it is up to the specific Registry). It does not matter which order they are listed, because when the name servers are queried, they are queried simultaneously, and the first one to answer is assigned by the Registry to that particular query as "primary" at that point in time. What this means is that regardless of how they are listed, the order
of the listing does not determine which name server is queried first.
The order that the name servers appear in the Registry
is not up to the Registrar, and cannot be changed by the Registrar. |

| Does your URL framing allow for the use of passing url variables. ie. www.TownSchools.org?MYSchoolID=1000. |
You are able to use URL Framing or Forwarding along with parsing variables through the URL; you do need to include the correct path and properly URL to encode special characters and spaces. Example: You want name.com to point to othername.com, and you want to use a file located on othername.com so, you would basically substitute name.com for tohername.com when calling the file. meaning, www.name.com/somefile.asp?variable=foo would really point to www.othername.com/somefile.asp?variable=foo If you are using redirect, then www.othername.com/somefile.asp?variable=foo would appear in the browser address bar.If you are using framing, then www.name.com/somefile.asp?variable=foo would appear in the browser address bar. |

| I am trying to remove lock or change DNS and get an error message "Unable to get registrar lock" - what does this mean? |
If a domain is pending transfer (away from Nameway®) the domain will still appear in your account, but you will not be able to make any updates to the DNS information or registrar lock fields. If you try to remove the lock or change DNS, you will get an error. Check with the registry to verify current registrar, for example
for .com domains you can search the WHOIS at: www.verisign-grs.com |

| I entered a global edit request, but the domains did not update. The global edit status still says processing, how long does it take? |
A Global Edit request is submitted when you complete the process; however, it will go into a queue and be processed in the order received. In most cases, your request will update and be complete within 4 hours. If there are larger requests ahead of you (for example, someone with 75,000 domains making a DNS change) it could take up to 96 hours to complete. To check the status of your global edit: L og into your account and click on "my account". Select "Click here" to view the status and history
of your previous global edits. If you are turning off the auto-renew for domains, and the edit has not completed, domains may still renew if their date is less than 30 days prior to expiration. You may want to turn off the auto-renew specifically for that domain to avoid unintentional renewals. |
